🤿 Canon 24 70 F4 Vs F2 8
At f8 things are almost neck and neck, if anything the f4IS lens actually seems to have the edge. F16 and F32 are considerably and equally effected by diffraction at the 70mm length, f32 is totally unusable in my opinion. 135mm – At 135mm the 70-200 f2.8 L IS II performs similarly when wide open at f2.8 as it did at 70mm. At f4 again the f4
When needed, I will rely on the RF 100-500 and the big white, the EF 500mm f4 mk1. The EF 70-200 f2.8 III is my big white. For the OP, I guess it depends on what else he as for lenses. He should have one of the EF 500 f4, the RF 100-500, or the RF 70-200 f2.8 before he buys the 70-200 f4. Depending on his ability to carry the cost and weight.
I generally shoot at f4, and at f4 the f2.8 is better than the 24-105L wide open. Agree. If you need less DOF, then 24-70mm at f2.8. If you shoot at f4, 24-70mm better resolution, but if slow speed, the 24-105mm IS can make the difference (resolution vs. shaking).
Canon 70-200mm F4 L IS / Canon F2.8 non IS / Sigma 70-200mm 1:2.8 EX MACRO HSM APO DC In the $1500 range I found a Canon 70-200 F2.8 IS So obivously the gen II's are out of the question. Would I be better off with an image stabilized F4 or the F2.8 gen 1 IS.
The 24-120 is an easy pack one lens and go option. The 28-75 makes prettier portraits with the 2.8, despite being optically inferior. If I had to pick one though, it’s the 24-120. I’d get most of what we need and it’s a wonderful lens at every focal length. *I have the 50mm 1.8 and it is a brilliant lens.
Throughout the whole zoom range the Tamron had serious vignetting issues at 2.8. At F4 and above vignetting was no longer an issue. Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 without VR just like the Canon so I don
Especially since the F4 at 200mm is the same length of the f2.8 due to the external zoom. Yeah. The Gm II is very fun to shoot with its internal zoom. Very nice smooth zoom ring, not having to worry about weather/dust sealing all the time and I also like the aperture ring a lot which unfortunately is not on the f4.
The Sony FE 20-70mm F4 G Lens vs. Sony FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS Lens comparison shows the 24-105 noticeably larger and heavier. The 20-70 uses 72mm filters vs. 77mm and has a 0.39x maximum magnification vs. 0.31x. The 24-105 has optical image stabilization and is modestly more expensive.
As it will likely be priced well and likely close to the Sony 70-200mm f4 (much like the other Tamron zooms compared to the F4 option). The other option is to wait for Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 to be released on the L mount. As the E mount will follow along with it. Yea I’ll probably deal with F4 for now until Sigma makes it for Sony.
The first telephoto lens of choice, especially recommended for beginners, is the 135mm F2.5 SMC Pentax. This lens has the Pentax K bayonet mount, and requires the K-EOS adapter for attachment to Canon EOS cameras. When the aperture is stopped down to 37mm using step-down filter rings, this lens produces incredibly tiny pinpoint star images from
I think that 24-70 is a little short for head and shoulder portraits. 85mm is a bare minimum on FF. 70-200 is a better zoom option and there is an abundance of decent primes above 100mm. 100/2.0 could be a good starting point. IQ-wise is the same as 85/1.8. Reply Reply with quote Reply to thread Complain.
The 24mm f/2.8 IS is a much smarter choice for nature and landscape shots, while the 24mm f/1.4 L comes into its own if you're actually going to shoot at f/2 or f/1.4, which you'd do if doing astronomy or shooting action in low light. If your subjects hold still, the 24mm f/2.8 IS is a smarter choice. Versus the Canon 24-70/2.8 L II
Nikon was right. Nikkor 24-70 f/2.8 S on Nikon Z7. The Nikkor Z 24-70 S is a lens that shows Nikon’s attention to detail on the design table. From the tapering of the lens, to the ring layout
The Nikkor Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S is a lightweight and compact lens that provides exceptional image quality, with little distortion and vignetting. Best Canon RF lens. The RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM
The 24-70 is obviously a fantastic lens, but maybe overkill unless you need 2.8 - if not, a lighter lens with more zoom is maybe the best way to go - the 70-120mm range really changes the kind of compositions you can get (and allows some semi-macro shots too). 2. pk_ • 1 yr. ago.
